Here we are, day 2 of 2012! Is it time to cue the theme from Jaws? Naaaah. How’s it going for everyone? I’m back after a bit of almost time off from the web. Had some fun doing the anal retentive organizing thing. That always warms my dark little soul.
Things I killed in the last week:
–The electric hand-mixer I’ve had for over 22 years. Sigh. It was tough to watch him start smoking on that last batch of peanut butter kiss cookies.
–The industrial size shredder. Hmmm, that one I fear was the result of the push to finish last year’s bit of anal retentive organizing. Yes, I’m talking to you, paycheck stubs from 1998.
New fun stuff:
The DIYPlanner.com Website and my new best friend, this DIYPlanner Dynamic Template. I’ve been pouring over websites looking for new calendars and so forth to make lists and to do’s and all that sort of thing without much luck. Nothing really appealed. Yes, I could do it all in my Yahoo Calendar now that I’ve conquered layers, but I’m not online everyday (sacrilege, I know). This website and templates? Fun, fun, fun. I’ve not even had a chance to play with them all.
Yes, LRC is at it again. Just in time to coax me to open my wallet and splurge on new reading material before the long weekend. Evil & wicked planning. I can just imagine a cackling voice in the background “Buy my pretties, buy!” *cough*
I’m just a posting fool today, aren’t I? But I couldn’t wait to share this. Many of you may have clicked on my “links of interest” on the left sidebar. While browsing, you may also have visited the website for Todd & Brad Reed Photography. Having spent years in the Ludington area, and many awestruck hours in their gallery, imagine how emotional I became when I saw this post,
Gay Rights in America and in Ludington by Brad Reed , written for the Ludington Daily News and shared on Facebook.
Unfortunately, I just realized that you need to login to FB to see the post. For those who do not have an account I’ll share the letter in full here on my blog.

You are in our hearts and thoughts. Sending you prayers and good wishes for you and your families. As a reminder to everyone who wishes they could do more: Make an appointment to donate blood in your local area – a practical and much-needed way to honor those impacted by this terrible event.

Hello! Welcome to our special, interactive edition of The Clare and Chrissy Show. Other than any additional inches on our hips and the decorations that we might have not yet put away, Halloween is now a memory and the snowball of Holiday celebrations has started rolling. We’re counting on you to be the key ingredient in making this a special and interactive post, so please, grab your coffee and get ready, set and go!
Clare: Before we get caught up in the chaos and stress the end of the year always seems to bring, Chrissy and I would like to pause and reflect on a few special items that have brought us particular joy in the past year. (Image of Bunnies do Scream copyright by Misterlingo)
Chrissy: And share a few of our more humorous holiday happenings.
As promised, today is my day during the Fang-tastic Books Michigan Author Celebration. I’m touching briefly on things that are “Purely Michigan”, (for those in the know – the state’s new advertising slogan) and offering a giveway. Come say Hi, I’d love to see you.

What do they have in common? A reason to celebrate. Yes, it’s May 5th! Time for a margarita I do believe.
And, today is also the release day for Clare London’s New Novella Touch. Click on the link to read the description of this latest installment of hot and sultry from Ms. London.
Summary: Angry and frustrated with his chronic illness, Vincent Poulsen moves into an old lighthouse to live out the few days he has left. After a dangerous collapse, he meets the ghostly Captain Cason, who shares stories of his distant past. In the process, Vincent stumbles over the tragedy that binds the captain to the lighthouse and his haunted memories. Then fate offers them in death a chance to make right what they couldn’t in life….
Please note: This story was originally released in the Desire Beyond Death Anthology. This novella has been re-edited and re-released as a stand alone novella.
